This transcription for solo piano of the adagio from Grieg's piano concerto captures the yearning serenity of the music whilst maintaining much of the the virtuosity of the original piano writing. Although the transcription is probably most suited to the more advanced pianist, the combination of the piano part with the orchestral parts has been carefully tailored so that the smooth flow of the music can be delivered effectively.
